Adult Dog Classes
Manners 1A Class
For dogs over 1 year with NO training
Items to be covered:
- Human / Dog communication including body language
- Outings and Socialization
- Enrichment
- Basic cues: sit, stand, down, wait, come, leave it, relax, drop it and give
- Walking: on loose leash and off leash
- Basic tricks
- Health and nutrition
- Preventing Dealing with unwanted behaviors including: jumping, biting, nipping, chewing, stealing things
Given at completion: Diploma
Length: 7 Weeks
Week 1 —> 2 hours in home
Weeks 2, 3 —> 1 hour in home
Weeks 4, 5 —> 30 to 45 minutes out in public
Weeks 6, 7 —> 30 to 45 minutes in home
Manners 1B Class
For dogs over 1 year with SOME training
Items to be covered:
- Human / Dog communication including body language
- Vaccination Status appropriate outings and socialization
- Enrichment
- Basic cues: sit, stand, down, wait, come, leave it, relax, drop it and give
- Walking: on loose leash and off leash
- Basic tricks
- Health and nutrition
- Potty Training
- Preventing Dealing with unwanted behaviors including: jumping, biting, nipping, chewing, stealing things
Given at completion: Diploma
Length: 7 Weeks
Week 1 —> 2 hours in home
Weeks 2, 3, 4 —> 1 hour in home
Weeks 5, 6, 7 —> 30 to 45 minutes out in public
Manners 2 Class
A class designed to build the dog’s ability to behave in any situation. Taking the skills learned in Manners 1 Class and making them more permanent while the dog is distracted and at a distance.
This class has 2 options: Social OR Canine Good Citizen Preparation
Items to be covered:
- Stay with distance, duration and distraction in the sit and down position
- Loose leash walking with distraction
- Walking at a heel with distraction
- Come when called with distance and distraction
- Meeting people and dogs in the real world
- Advanced tricks
Given at completion: Diploma
Length: 7 Weeks
Week 1, 2, 3 —> 1 hour in home
Weeks 4,5,6,7 —> 1 hour out in public

- $350 Primary Service Area: Knox County
- $385 Secondary Service Area: within 10 miles of Knox County line
- $330 PLUS $0.20 per mile from 301 S Gay St Extend Service Area: Beyond 10 miles of Knox County line
